The Leaders of Change Foundation and the Borussia Foundation open the recruitment for participation in the Study Tours to Poland (STP) Program for motivated, active young people from Moldova and Ukraine.
Our goal is to create opportunities for young people from different countries to meet and get to know one another. In doing so, we aim to build and strengthen relationships across our part of Europe. Throughout this process, participants are inspired by people, institutions, and organizations in Poland that share both their success stories and the challenges they have faced.
STP is not only an opportunity to gain new experiences but also to share your own. Although there is not much free time during the program. Spending time together with fellow participants, organizers, and volunteers offers a unique chance to get to know peers from neighbouring countries and make lasting friendships.
To participate in the STP, candidates are selected on a competitive basis. All applicants go through a selection process based on merit and motivation.
The Study Tours to Poland (STP) Student Visits Program is funded by the Polish-American Freedom Foundation.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE STP STUDENT VISITS PROGRAM?
The STP Student Visits Program is open to university students who combine strong academic performance with active involvement in university life (for example, through student self-government or student organizations) or who are actively engaged in civil society, youth organizations, volunteer initiatives, or other community activities.
To be eligible for the STP Student Visits Program, applicants must meet all of the following formal requirements:
I. Be a citizen of Moldova or Ukraine.
II. Be residing in and enrolled as a full-time student at a higher education institution in Ukraine, Moldova, or Romania.
III. Be born between 1 July 2003 and 30 June 2008 (inclusive).
IV. Applicants must have a valid international passport with an expiry date of at least 31 March 2027. (If your passport is currently being issued, please see the "Completing the Application Form" section.)
V. Have not previously participated in the STP Student Visits Program.

APPLICATION SUBMISSION AND SELECTION PROCESS
Applications for for participation in the STP Student Visits Program will be accepted until 14 August 2026 (inclusive), by 11:59 p.m. (Poland time).
Each applicant will be notified individually of the selection results by 30 August 2026 (inclusive), by 11:59 p.m. (Poland time), via the email address provided in their application.
PROGRAM DATES
The STP Student Visits will take place between October and November 2026. The exact dates of participation will be communicated individually to the selected participants.
Each study visit lasts 10 days.
THE PROGRAM PROVIDES
- Accommodation in a hostel or student residence, in shared rooms with other STP participants, at the location where the study visit takes place.
- Three meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
- Assistance with obtaining a free visa, if required, for the duration of participation in the STP program.
- Partial reimbursement of international travel expenses, in accordance with the program's travel reimbursement rules.
Program Costs
The organizers cover all costs related to the implementation of the STP Student Visits Program, including all program activities.
Accommodation and Meals
The organizers cover all accommodation costs as well as three meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) for participants throughout their stay in Poland during the STP Student Visits Program.
Travel Costs
The organizers provide partial reimbursement of travel expenses from the participant's place of residence or study to the location of the STP Student Visit in Poland and back.
The amount reimbursed depends on the distance travelled within the participant's country of residence. Lower reimbursement rates apply to participants travelling from regions closer to Poland, while higher rates are available for those travelling from more distant regions.
Before purchasing any tickets, participants must consult with the organizers regarding their planned route, means of transport, travel dates, and estimated travel costs, and obtain prior approval. Travel expenses that have not been approved in advance by the organizers may not be reimbursed in full.
Health Insurance
All participants are required to obtain health insurance covering the entire duration of their stay in Poland.
The insurance policy must cover medical treatment and hospitalization costs. The cost of the insurance is the responsibility of the participant.
HOW TO COMPLETE THE APPLICATION

Prepared documents
Before completing the application form, applicants should prepare scanned copies or clear photographs of the required documents. Files must be in PDF, PNG, or JPG format, and each file must not exceed 500 KB.
The required documents are:
- Student record book (grade book) or its electronic equivalent, including the pages showing grades from the last two completed semesters. Each page must clearly display the applicant's full name and the name of the higher education institution.
- A letter of recommendation, prepared in accordance with the application guidelines. The letter should be written by one of the following:
- the head of a civil society or non-governmental organization with which the applicant is involved;
- a representative of the student council or student government;
- the leader of a volunteer initiative;
- or another appropriate person familiar with the applicant's activities.
- the full name of the person providing the recommendation;
- their position or role;
- their handwritten signature; and
- their contact details, including email address and telephone number.
- A confirmation of the expected passport issuance date, if your passport is currently being processed. This document must be uploaded in the designated section of the application form. Important Information
Please name all scanned files according to their content, adding the applicant's surname so that it is clear what the document contains and to whom it belongs.
File names must be written using Latin characters only, for example:
- grades_arnaut
- recommendation_arnaut
Please do not use any additional characters in file names, such as quotation marks, periods, commas, brackets, slashes, or other symbols.

Video Requirement
Applicants are required to prepare a short original video on one of the proposed topics (see the list of topics and video requirements).
The video should be uploaded to a publicly accessible platform that does not require registration or login to view it. The link to the video must be included in the application form.
